About the Position

Job Title: ICU Nurse-Staff II Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years of RN ICU experience License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be comfortable and proficient in managing neuro patient cases. Previous charge experience is required. Experience with electronic charting systems is mandatory. Candidates must have the ability to float to different units within scope of practice. Description: This position involves caring for patients in an intensive care unit. The unit sees a high volume of neuro patients. RNs must demonstrate proficiency in neuro patient management. Flexibility in scheduling is expected, including weekends and holidays. Traveling nurses may receive short notice for shift changes. Compliance with all orientation and onboarding requirements is necessary. Candidates must be able to manage a patient ratio of 2:1. Experience with various critical care procedures is essential. Infection prevention and adherence to isolation precautions are mandatory. Candidates will be required to manage multiple complex patient care situations. Strong communication and collaboration skills are vital for success in this role. The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment is necessary. Candidates must be able to demonstrate clinical competencies in all expected skills for the role.
