RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The SLP works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to help students develop effective communication skills that support academic success and social development. This position supports students across educational settings and plays an important role in implementing services outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Purpose of Position: The Speech-Language Pathologist provides comprehensive speech and language services to students to support communication development, educational participation, and academic success. Services include evaluation, therapy, consultation, and collaboration with educational teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Collaborate with professionals and parents to observe, plan, implement, monitor, and facilitate the generalization of oral and written communication skills. Use research-based and technically sound practices to drive decision-making and interventions; and collaborate with school personnel and parents in order to develop and modify student intervention strategies. - Provide assessments that are relevant to the presenting concern and meaningful communication skills. - Use a variety of service delivery options and evidence-based practices and facilitate generalization of communication skills. - Manage time, organize material, and communicate with school teams and building and central administrators to effectively manage individual student programs; engage in problem-solving processes with school-based teams. - Monitor individual progress towards measurable goals and objectives. - Share knowledge with individuals and groups concerning communication, language and literacy development. - Advocate for the individual's communication needs across a variety of settings. - Develop and/or participate in professional enrichment activities to maintain a high standard of service delivery. - Participate in or utilize specialized services to provide better programming for individuals with complex needs. - May assist in the supervision of Speech/Language Pathology Assistants. - Complies with Student Support Services and district policies and procedures (e.g., accident reporting). - Provide direct and indirect interventions/therapy to students according to their special education Individualized Education Program (IEPs).

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current Colorado Department of Education Special Services License with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement, or eligibility to obtain Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required Experience working with school-aged children preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Working Conditions: Work in classroom, therapy, and small group environments Travel between district buildings may be required Frequent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
