Positions are appointed on a conditional, semester basis and may be renewed based on departmental needs, funding, and performance. Lecturers may be required to begin classes on short notice due to scheduling changes. Responsibilities Teach assigned courses, prepare instruction, grade, and hold office hours. Participate in departmental meetings and fulfill additional duties as needed. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a diverse, multicultural environment. Minimum Qualifications Appropriate degree from an accredited university: bachelor’s degree and substantial teaching experience for lower‑division courses; master’s degree for upper‑division undergraduate courses; doctoral degree, or master’s degree with substantial teaching experience for graduate courses. Demonstrated excellence in teaching at a college level. Proficient written and oral English. Ability to work in a multiethnic, multicultural environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment. Relevant professional experience and training. Compensation Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary ranges (per academic year, per month, Full‑time equivalent): Lecturer A/2 – $5,507 - $6,677 Lecturer B/3 – $6,221 - $13,224 Lecturer C/4 – $6,825 - $14,523 Lecturer D/5 – $8,593 - $15,211 New faculty lecturers are typically hired at Lecturer A or B rank.
