Staff Accountant

A well-established construction and AEC-focused organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across a project-driven environment. The firm supports ongoing construction and professional services work and offers a collaborative accounting team with exposure to both corporate and project-related financial activities. This role is ideal for an accountant looking to strengthen their core accounting foundation while gaining experience in a project-based industry. Responsibilities Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries and account reconciliations Support month-end close and internal financial reporting Assist with job cost tracking and project-related accounting activities Support accounts payable and receivable processes as needed Help prepare supporting schedules for audits and internal reviews Maintain accurate financial data within the company’s accounting system Partner with project teams and internal stakeholders on financial questions Support process improvements and ad hoc accounting requests Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2–4 years of accounting experience (project-based or AEC exposure a plus) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Excel Experience with ERP/accounting systems (construction or AEC systems a plus) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Why This Role Stable organization with consistent project activity Broad accounting exposure in a construction / AEC setting Opportunity to grow within a project-driven finance team Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr HireIQ
