Located in Englewood, CO Salary: $25-$30/hr. TIG Welder / Fabricator (Aluminum) We are seeking a highly skilled and precision-focused TIG Welder / Fabricator to join our production team at Crone. This specialized role focuses entirely on custom, non-structural aluminum fabrication. You will work on lightweight components, architectural details, enclosures, or cosmetic fabrications where weld aesthetics, clean finishes, and strict dimensional accuracy are vital. This position requires exceptional torch control, a deep understanding of aluminum heat management, and the ability to work directly from technical drawings to fit and finish custom parts.- Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

- Precision TIG Welding: Perform high-quality, cosmetic-grade TIG (GTAW) welding on thin-gauge and medium-gauge aluminum sheets, tubing, and custom components.
- Non-Structural Fabrication: Lay out, fit, tack, and assemble complex, non-structural parts according to engineering drawings and technical schematics.
- Material Prep & Finishing: Ensure proper cleaning and prepping of aluminum joints to prevent contamination. Perform precise post-weld blending, grinding, and finishing to deliver clean, smooth, and visually flawless welds.
- Blueprint & Symbol Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols to verify correct angles, tolerances, and dimensional specs.
- Shop Tool Operation: Safely set up and operate TIG welding machines (adjusting amperage, balance, and gas flow) along with standard fabrication equipment like band saws, grinders, notches, and precision measuring tools.
- Experience: 2+ years of dedicated TIG welding experience, specifically working with aluminum in a precision fabrication shop or custom manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Expert control over aluminum heat distortion, puddle manipulation, and weld penetration. Strong blueprint reading and layout layout skills.
- Weld Test: Must successfully pass a non-structural aluminum TIG weld test (demonstrating clean bead profile, consistent penetration, and absence of porosity).
- Physical Ability: Fine motor skills, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Detail-Oriented: A passion for meticulous workmanship, clean aesthetics, and tight tolerance compliance.
