Plasma Center Nurse EMT-P

Job Summary Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations under guidance of the Center Manager or Assistant Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities include donor eligibility determination, adverse event management, laboratory result review, EHS support, and pandemic coordination among others. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility: informed consent, AIDS education, self‑exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies including standing orders and transfer to emergency care. Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility. Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents, deciding on further evaluation by occupational health/ER and referencing EHS guidance. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS, supporting investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Currently licensed or certified in the state of assignment (EMT‑Paramedic). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completed FDA‑approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation and Benefits Summary Location: USA – FL – Tallahassee. Hourly wage range: $23.04 – $31.68.
