Job Summary
We are seeking motivated individuals to join our food manufacturing team in Elk Grove Village. In this role, you will participate in the large-scale preparation, seasoning, stacking, and packaging of authentic Mediterranean meat products (Shawarma and Gyros) This role involves handling raw proteins, operating commercial food-processing machinery, and maintaining strict food safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Protein Preparation: Hand-stack, layer, trim, and marinate whole-muscle chicken or beef according to exact formulation recipes for shawarma cones and loaves.
- Monitor, and assist in assembling or breaking down industrial meat-processing, slicing, or packaging equipment.
- Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and USDA food safety standards to prevent cross-contamination.
Job Requirements
- Availability: Must be ready to begin work on Monday, July 13th.
- Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing, meat processing, or an industrial kitchen environment is preferred, but the facility is willing to train motivated workers.
- Environment Fit: Ability to work comfortably in a chilled production environment (typically 35–40°ree;F required for raw meat processing).
- Physical Demands: Capacity to stand for long periods, perform repetitive hand/arm motions (slicing, stacking), and lift up to 40–50 lbs.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, teamwork mentality, and a basic understanding of safety rules.
