Aviation Project Manager - Hybrid

Overview We are seeking an Aviation Project Manager – Hybrid to join our team in Nashville, TN. The Project Manager will provide the expertise of a seasoned Aviation Technical Expert to all conventional aspects of functional areas of airports and will apply advanced concepts and techniques to unconventional engineering problems. The role may involve individual research or technical specialism on airfield design or construction projects that may include runway, taxiway, apron, hangars, approach evaluations, utility improvements, and many other airport‑related development projects. The candidate upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct. Your role Responsible for the financial health of projects, quality control, and all aspects of a project. Interface with clients and regulatory agencies, representing AtkinsRéalis' multidisciplinary capabilities to airport clients. Assist clients in development and execution of airport capital improvement programs, from conceptual planning, grant application support, preliminary and final design of bidding plans and specifications, construction administration, and oversight of project inspection and quality assurance testing. Perform airfield or landside project design oversight, review sketches and designs developed by engineers, subconsultants, CAD designers or technicians. Plan and review the production of engineering drawings, specifications, investigations and planning work. Review and evaluate project plans and criteria, weighing alternatives and selecting cost‑effective solutions. Analyze technical problems, assess feasibility of techniques and devise new solutions. Analyze project scope and prepare or oversee cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate work with lead technical engineers, guide and mentor junior professionals and technical personnel on design drafting of preliminary and final plans. May occasionally travel to project locations within and outside the United States. Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor. Coordinate efforts with TDOT Aeronautics Division and FAA on project grant requests, inspections, and construction administration services. About You B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field. Eight (8) years of aviation‑related civil engineering or project management experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of or experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. Proven technical writing and communication skills. P.E. license required.
