Material Handler - 2nd Shift

This year, Allegion also received Gallup's With Distinction honor - a designation reserved for a select group of organizations that go above and beyond in building exceptional workplace cultures._ **What You Will Do:** + Receive, stage, issue, and deliver materials within the facility to support production schedules and customer orders. + Safely operate pallet jacks and other manual material handling equipment. + Load and unload materials from trucks and containers. + Accurately enter inventory transactions into ERP/MRP systems or scanning devices. + Perform cycle counts, assist with physical inventories, and report discrepancies to supervisors. + Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory documentation. + Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and practice proper lifting techniques. + Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and properly store tools and equipment. + Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve issues and improve processes. + Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime when needed, cross-training in other areas, and adapting to new processes or technologies. + Other duties as assigned. **What You Need to Succeed:** + Education: High School Diploma or GED + Familiarity with material handling and material movement. + Basic computer literacy. + Ability to use proper lifting techniques and material movement equipment effectively. + Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements. **Physical Demands:** + Ability to handle material and parts. + Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands). + Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift. + Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands). + Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes. **Why Work for Us?** **Allegion is a Great Place to Grow your Career if:** + You're seeking a rewarding opportunity that allows you to truly help others.
