- Senior Platform Engineer (AWS & Terraform)Apply**Job#: 3038420****Job Description:**Senior Platform Engineer (AWS & Terraform)**Location:** Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)**Employment Type:** Contract**Contract Duration:** 12 MonthsRole OverviewThis role involves designing and delivering infrastructure tools and services that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance and policies. As part of a platform engineering team, the focus is on building and evolving a self-service AWS platform. This platform allows internal technology teams to deploy and operate services securely and efficiently in a regulated financial environment, with a continuous focus on improving reliability, security, and developer experience.Key Responsibilities* Assist in translating business and platform requirements into technical definitions, reference architectures, Terraform modules, and reusable platform patterns.* Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision AWS services in a scalable, consistent, and compliant manner.* Contribute to the development of a self-service AWS platform, creating standardized "golden paths" and templates.* Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including validation, security scanning, and controlled deployments.* Embed security-by-design principles into platform services, implementing IAM best practices, encryption standards, and secure network architectures.* Develop software and automation solutions to eliminate manual processes and improve platform usability, reliability, and operational efficiency.* Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and application teams to ensure solutions integrate effectively with the platform.* Contribute to building event-driven and serverless platform components using AWS services to improve scalability and responsiveness.Required Qualifications**Education:** A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required.**Experience:** A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Automation Engineer is required, with a background in enterprise-scale environments building highly available IaaS and PaaS solutions.**Technical Skills:*** Significant experience writing Hashicorp Terraform configurations and modules, including experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE).* Experience in DevOps and GitOps models with infra-as-code and config-as-code.* Strong knowledge of AWS and the cloud adoption framework.* Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including subnets, routing, load balancing, and firewalls.* Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash or Python.* Experience with container-related technologies and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.* Familiarity with cloud logging, monitoring, and observability tools.Preferred Qualifications* Experience in the financial services industry.* Experience with various public cloud service providers.* Experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.* Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Docker. *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
