Registered Nurse - General Resource Team (Float Pool)

Job Description As an RN – General Resource Team (Float Pool) you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; provide direction and oversight for nursing care by unlicensed personnel; document functions such as carrying out provider’s medical orders; assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; create a safe and therapeutic environment; coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to patients, their families, health professionals, and important others; and perform related duties as assigned. Work Schedule 28 hours weekly / .7 FTE Nights, 11p‑7a, every other weekend. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Licensed as an RN by the Minnesota Board of Nursing or hold a Wisconsin RN License and Minnesota Board of State Registry. Registered nurses re‑entering the nursing field who have not completed 520 hours of nursing practice in the past four years must successfully complete a recognized refresher course; written certification must be provided before employment. Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider). Stable within one year of the start date. NRP required within six months of the start date. External per diem/casual on‑call applicants: Must have at least one year (2080 hours) of experience in an acute care setting. Preferred Qualifications Baccalaureate or Master’s degree in Nursing. Associate Degree prepared nurses enrolled in a Baccalaureate in Nursing program.
