Yard Associate

Sunbelt Rentals is looking for a Porter / Yard Worker to manage equipment stationing and retrieval on location property. Overview The Yard Associate is responsible for stationing and retrieving equipment, maintaining written maintenance schedules, servicing equipment, and inspecting equipment before and after rental to document any loss or damage. Responsibilities Station and retrieve equipment on the location’s property. Maintain a written maintenance schedule and service equipment as necessary. Inspect equipment before and after rental to document any lost and/or damaged equipment. Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED preferred. Experience with common construction and industrial tools preferred. Some experience or training in mechanical equipment repair preferred. General mechanical aptitude. Safety focus. Ability to communicate effectively with customers (written and oral). Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.). Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs. Related Experience Porter / Hostler Yard Hand / Jockey / Spotter Entry Level Mechanic / Mechanic Trainee Construction Laborer Washbay Attendant / Equipment Washer Forklift Driver Warehouse Worker Physical Demands The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors, as required. Pay Range Base Pay: $17.75 – $23.72 per hour (starting rate may vary based on factors such as position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience).
