Java Shack in Dartmouth has an immediate opening for a cook to prepare delicious breakfast & lunch items according to our menu. Candidate must be capable of moving around the kitchen and able to multi-task. Serv Safe Certification preferred. Weekly Schedule Wednesday: 8am-4pm Thursday: 8am-4pm Friday: 8am-4pm Saturday: 7am-3pm required Responsibilities Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Preparation of ingredients (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Cook food in various utensils or grillers Check food while cooking to stir or turn Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Skills Proven experience as a cook Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work as a team Very good communication skills Pay $16.00 per hour Benefits Employee discount Work Location In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
