Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: July 20, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every other weekend required. Day and night shifts available. Patient ratios 4:1 at grid, 5:1 stretched.

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neurology and trauma patient populations
• Comprehensive skill utilization including chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumber drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Electronic Medical Records system: Cerner
• Supportive team environment with dedicated CNCs, charge nurses, CNAs, and unit coordinators on each shift
• Advanced equipment including IV pumps, Skylifts, patient lifts, and specialty care devices
• Opportunity to work with diverse patient needs including neuro/spinal assessments, C-collar placement, and TLSO braces

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• ACLS and BLS certification (required)
• NIHSS certification (required)
• Neurology and Trauma Care experience (required)
• Willingness to float to stepdown and medical-surgical units as needed
• Team-oriented, patient-focused professional demeanor
