Associate Claims Attorney/Claims Attorney-Executive Liability Division

Job Overview Position: Associate Claims Attorney / Claims Attorney Business Unit: Executive Liability Location: Schaumburg, IL (on-site Tuesday‑Thursday, optional remote Monday/Friday) Salary Range: $90,000–$115,000 Responsibilities Perform detailed analysis and evaluate coverage and liability, issue coverage opinions, monitor file progress, hire, manage, and pay defense counsel. Develop and implement claim litigation and resolution strategies. Provide information to underwriters and reinsurers on specific claims, insureds, and legal trends affecting the business. Secure and analyze necessary information (reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, records) in claims investigations. Attend arbitrations or mediations as necessary. Make settlement or reserve recommendations within prescribed limits. Ensure timely and accurate claims payments. Ensure compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, company procedures, and policies. Provide technical advice to other functional areas. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Juris Doctorate and current attorney license required. 2 to 6 years of related experience in litigation, insurance coverage, employment practices, or claims adjusting (preferred). Detail oriented, organized, and possessing strong analytical skills.
