Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Credential Administration in Totowa, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and use access-control systems to verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report access discrepancies according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate security-related reports and documentation regarding access activity, incidents, and unusual observations in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
