Litigation Counsel

Litigation Counsel  - Commercial Litigation

I am partnering with a respected law firm seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation team in Seattle. This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced litigator who is confident taking full ownership of complex matters, leading case strategy, and serving as first-chair counsel through all phases of litigation.

The firm is looking for a highly skilled attorney with a proven ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution while delivering exceptional client service and results.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle a diverse portfolio of litigation matters from start to finish
• Develop and execute case strategy with minimal supervision
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Draft and argue substantive motions
• Lead settlement negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings
• Manage all aspects of discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Serve as first-chair counsel in hearings, trials, and other key proceedings
• Represent clients in both state and federal courts

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Washington
• Significant experience managing litigation matters independently
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong academic credentials
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and advance complex cases

Preferred Experience

• Extensive deposition, oral argument, and trial experience
• Significant first-chair litigation experience
• Hands-on approach to case management and advocacy
• Experience practicing in both federal and state courts
• Background with a large law firm, regional firm, or respected litigation boutique
