Retirement Counselor- City and County of San Francisco

Overview Retirement Plan Specialist – Voya’s Tax‑Exempt Market, supporting the City and County of San Francisco. The position must be based in the SF Bay Area and will oversee education and enrollment for plan participants. Key Responsibilities Deliver on‑site education for Plan Sponsor Participants. Conduct educational seminars/webinars on plan features, investments and general retirement‑related topics. Meet one‑on‑one with employees and retirees to provide financial and investment counseling. Collaborate with Plan Administration and Plan Sponsors to resolve participant issues and increase participation rates. Develop and implement presentation materials and assist with scheduling seminars and appointments. Maintain compliance with all firm and FINRA regulatory requirements. Possibly provide guidance and training to junior staff and handle additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience in retirement or financial services. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. FINRA Series 6 or 7 with Series 63, 65, CA Life and Health license. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Problem‑solving ability and a proactive approach to quality improvement. Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness. Ability to travel within San Francisco County. Bi‑lingual proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus. Compensation Annual base salary range: $77,580 – $96,980 USD. Additional incentive opportunities (annual cash incentives, sales incentives, or long‑term incentives) may be provided based on role and performance.
