Job Summary and Qualifications\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Labor and Delivery Nurse \n \n \n \n The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. \n \n Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice. Maintains a safe therapeutic environment. Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. Registered Nurse plans individualized patient care whileutilizingan interdisciplinary approach. Participates in performance improvement activities. Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospital’s mission and vision statement. \n \n \n \n When acting inchargenurse role, registered nursesare responsible forday-to-day activities to ensure the delivery of quality patient care in a therapeutic environment. Make staff assignments based on patient need,acuityand the skill of the staff. Serve as role models and clinicalresourcefor the staff. Respondin a timely mannertorequests forinformation or follow-up with physician,staffor patient issues. \n \n \n \n What you will do in this role: \n \n \n \n \n \n You willutilizetherapeutic communication in daily practice,maintainsa safe therapeutic environment, andidentifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient. \n \n \n \n \n You mustdemonstrateage specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients. \n \n \n \n \n Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role. \n \n \n \n \n You willutilizethe nursing process for individual care to meetneedsof patients and document all patient care. \n \n \n \n \n Your roledemonstratesthe ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and show critical thinking. \n \n \n \n \n You will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement. \n \n \n \n \n What qualifications you will need:  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.) \n \n \n \n \n 1 year of RN experience \n \n \n \n \n Labor and Delivery experience highly preferred \n \n \n \n \n BLS \n \n \n \n \n ACLS Required within 6 months \n \n \n \n \n NRP Required within 6 months \n \n \n \n \n AWHONN basic,intermediateand advanced within one year \n \n \n \n \n CPI Training & Certificationrequiredwithin 6 months \n \n \n \n \n Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or Compact State \n Benefits\n TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
