Role Overview As a Laboratory Technician III (LT3), you will specialize in one of six career pathways, including Quality Management Specialist, Laboratory Information Specialist, Education Coordinator, Generalist, Assays Specialist, and Instrumentation Specialist. Responsibilities include maintaining laboratory safety, inventory, quality control, LIS management, assay development, and equipment validation. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the upkeep and safety of the laboratory and assure a clean, safe, adequately supplied work area. Maintain inventories of reagents and supplies. Participate in monitoring and reporting quality control. Acquire thorough knowledge of applicable standards and regulations. Oversee the laboratory's LIS responsibilities and maintain knowledge of LIS systems. Review requisitions and orders, verify accuracy of specimens, document specimen collection information in LIS, and update records as needed. Assist laboratory management in designing and setting up new assays, selecting analytical methods, and optimizing operational protocols. Maintain complete, accurate, legible, neat, organized, up-to-date records, logs, and files. Key Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Lab Sciences or Medical Technology. At least 4 years of clinical laboratory experience. A current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License. ASCP certification preferred. Excellent teamwork, organizational and flexibility skills, attention to detail, and commitment to improving cancer care. Location & Shift Westchester, New York – 1:30PM to 9:30PM, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturdays. Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Laboratory Medicine. Pay & Benefits Pay Range: $52.26 – $83.69 per hour (FSLA, Non‑Exempt). Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off. Additional benefits details available upon request.
