Service Advisor Position at Garnet Ford

Garnet Ford is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team! Previous Service Advisor experience is preferred, but we're also interested in candidates with strong customer service skills who are great with people and eager to learn.

In this role, you'll greet customers, listen to their service needs, schedule appointments, explain recommended repairs, prepare estimates, and keep customers informed throughout the repair process. You'll also coordinate loaner vehicles when needed and help ensure a smooth service experience.

Service Advisor Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Pay - Starting at $40,000 - Salary and Commission (Based on experience)

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet customers promptly
• Obtain customer and vehicle information
• Clearly report all vehicle symptoms as described by the customer
• Determine and recommend maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle
• Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
• Establish follow up time
• Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
• Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
• Explain all completed work and charges to customers

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
• Past experience as a service advisor, assistant lane manager or service consultant
• Very energetic personality
• A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
• Personal and professional integrity
• Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
