Supply Chain Operations Manager

This critical role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing administrative aspects of operations including supply chain, forecasting, purchasing, logistics and warehouse functions. This role ensures efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations that support company growth, quality, and customer satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and manage operational functions through direct supervision of Forecasting, Purchasing, Production Planning, Logistics, Receiving and Inventory Control. Develop and execute operational strategies to meet company objectives for quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability. Implement best practices in production planning, inventory management, procurement, and logistics. Ensure operational processes meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Engineering and Product to align operations with business goals and customer requirements. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all operational areas. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and capital investment projects for operations. Develop and mentor operational leadership, ensuring strong succession planning and staff development. Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence. Build, document and refine supply chain processes in support of ISO 9001 Create Master Production Schedule that balances customer and CMC needs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Strategic Planning and Execution Supplier Management Team Leadership and Development Cost Control and Budgeting Operational Excellence and Process Improvement Vendor and Stakeholder Management Data-Driven Decision Making Cycle Counting Business Processes Exceptional knowledge of MRP, planning systems and Excel. Inventory Turns Optimization REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Strong knowledge of production, supply chain, and warehouse management best practices. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial operations. Deep knowledge business operationsa and effective decision making normally associated with a Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Proven track record in Lean/continuous improvement methodologies. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to drive change and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams. Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and MS Office Suite. Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem solving skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS This on-site (Goleta, CA) role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. Requires occasional travel to vendors or company facilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit and stand; using the hands to handle, finger, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally, the employee must crouch or kneel. The employee must occasionally exert or lift to 20 pounds. Successful performance requires good eyesight with or without corrective lens. Requires long periods of time working at a computer and includes phone work.
