Job Description Maintenance Master Lead- Fort Smith South Box Position Title Maintenance Master Lead Pay Rate $36.48 Shift Hourly Full-Time (10pm-6am – Monday-Friday) Location Fort Smith Box 4215 Planters Road Fort Smith, AR 72901 Responsibilities Maintenance Master Leaders perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. The MML always puts safety first, for him, his crew and others. The MML must have good communicating skills to communicate with his crew, the other maintenance shifts, operations, and management. Other activities include scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency / break down repairs. Maintenance Master Leader reports to the Maintenance Manager. Following all safety rules and practices; and assure others follow safety rules. Assure product quality and specifications as denoted in SPI’s or customer requirements. Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. Perform emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations. Reference equipment manuals and other technical literature. Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results. Accurately use measurement and test equipment. Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed. Safely operate the boiler, and maintain adequate operating steam pressure (> 180 PSI). Maintain clean and organized work areas, and clean up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks. Accurately and completely prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork. Trouble‑shoot and solve problems. Maintain teamwork with other associates. Keep supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. When not working on break downs, keep crew productive. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize jobs. The MML will be required to come in thirty minutes early, before his shift starts, for a shift to shift comminution meeting. Qualifications Ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation. The ability to read, write, and speak English. The ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices. Well‑rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience. The ability to learn. The ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team. Reading factory orders.
