Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship, and preventative maintenance practices. Minimum of 5 years' experience with Fanuc robot programming. Minimum of 10 years in process automation engineering role or related field Experience programming PLC's and drives 7from different global brands Understanding of AC and DC motors; Understanding of servo systems Motors and Drives - Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and read electrical prints. Electrical Skills - Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and read electrical prints. Job Duties Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, robotics, and control systems. Perform preventive and emergency maintenance on automated equipment. Program and modify PLCs, robots, and automation controls. Diagnose equipment issues and implement corrective actions. Support production teams with automation and process improvements. Collect and analyze automation system data. Create and maintain technical documentation and reports. Lead automation projects and equipment upgrades. Train production and maintenance employees. Promote workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related technical environment is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance programs and responding to equipment breakdowns is beneficial. Knowledge of PLCs, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, or fabrication is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate strong troubleshooting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement are well positioned for success as a Automation Technician. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred. Solid Experience in Filament spinning for non-wovens and/or Polymer extrusion. Experience with Winding and rewinding equipment. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and work in a variety of industrial environments throughout the shift. Ability to lift equipment, tools, and replacement parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely work around moving machinery while following established safety procedures.
