Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown Neuro unit, monitoring and managing patients requiring intermediate-level care
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient assessment
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols, including completion of safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as required
• Complete annual hands-on competency requirements and facility-assigned modules as directed
• Maintain compliance with all facility credentialing, background, and licensing standards throughout the contract

• Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty being applied for
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required; co-worker references are not accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

• PCU/Progressive Care Unit experience preferred
• Experience gained within a single location is preferred, though combined experience across locations will be considered

• Opportunity to work in a high-acuity Stepdown Neuro environment at a nationally recognized acute care facility
• Contract extensions may be available for up to 18 months of continuous placement
