Contract | Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 3×12-Hour Shifts | Hours: Days 7:00-19:30 / Nights 19:00-7:30

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an HVTI-Stepdown unit with potential float coverage to additional units serving the same patient population
• Perform and interpret ECG rhythm recognition as part of ongoing patient monitoring responsibilities
• Administer and manage medications safely in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at least every other holiday as required
• Complete facility orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
• Adhere to annual hands-on competency and module requirements as outlined by the facility for continuous contract travelers

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - permanent Ohio license or Compact license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown or the specialty being applied for
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active ACLS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Active NIHSS certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required (co-worker references are not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single location for the required specialty, though combined experience across locations is considered
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and medication safety assessment tools
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or stepdown setting
