Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: 13-Week Contract (Possible Extension)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Compensation

• Local Pay: $1,728.00 Weekly
• Travel Pay: $2,199.96 Weekly

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a leading healthcare facility in Neptune, New Jersey. The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across various age groups, utilizing advanced respiratory therapy techniques and equipment while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders.
• Administer respiratory therapies, oxygen treatments, aerosol medications, and ventilator support.
• Perform diagnostic respiratory procedures and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
• Monitor and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and related devices.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide respiratory support during critical care interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Required QualificationsEducation

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Licensure & Certifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care License.
• Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA) required.
• ACLS Certification required.
• PALS Certification required.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles, practices, and equipment.
• Experience with ventilator management and critical care patients.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
