Regional Patient Access Lead- North East

Amgen seeks a Regional Patient Access Lead to oversee a team of patient access liaisons in the Northeast, managing performance and compliance while coordinating patient support services across rare disease programs. The role requires strategic input, cross-functional collaboration, and responsibility for team development and key performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage field-based patient access liaison team with accountability for performance and compliance
• Develop key performance metrics and track individual team member progress against business objectives
• Coordinate with Area Sales Directors and cross-functional teams on patient access initiatives and healthcare provider education
• Identify emerging patient needs and communicate findings to support medication access programs
• Oversee team training, development, and participation in patient meetings and educational events

Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 2 years patient access experience, OR Master's degree and 4 years experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 6 years experience
• People management experience or demonstrated leadership in mentoring and developing others
• Knowledge of insurance, reimbursement, and healthcare assistance programs
• Understanding of PhRMA, OIG, and compliant medical communication guidelines
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation skills
• Ability to travel 50-75% regionally, including overnight and weekend commitments
