Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting the educational journey of students as a full-time paraprofessional. This position offers a unique four-day work week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while making a meaningful difference. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with students, teachers, and school-based virtual clinicians, specifically SLPs, OTs, and psychologists, to enhance learning and development.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and attentive support to students
- Comfortable utilizing technology to facilitate virtual support services
- Adaptable, organized, and able to follow classroom routines and individualized plans
- Willingness to assist with implementing therapeutic and academic interventions as directed
Role Responsibilities:
- Facilitate smooth sessions for virtual SLPs, OTs, and psychologists, ensuring students are prepared and engaged
- Support classroom instruction and assist teachers with academic activities and behavior management
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as needed
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment in compliance with school policies
- Assist in tracking student progress and reporting observations to the appropriate staff
- Collaborate with educators and related services providers to enhance student learning experiences
