Security Lead

Title:Security LeadKBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. The Security Lead plays a key role in ensuring the program operates in secure and compliant environments across multiple classification levels. This position partners with program leadership, engineering teams, and government stakeholders to manage security processes, documentation, and training that support day-to-day mission execution.Roles and ResponsibilitiesOversee execution of program security activities in accordance with Government security requirements and applicable security directivesDevelop and implement program level security classification guides and policiesManage security documentation, compliance activities, and required reporting supporting program operationsCoordinate implementation of security procedures to ensure proper safeguarding and handling of classified information and controlled unclassified informationSupport establishment and maintenance of security environments across required classification levels to enable program executionEnsure compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and operational security (OPSEC) requirementsCoordinate and track completion of required security training and awareness activities for program personnelInterface with Government security offices, stakeholders, and program leadership on security requirements and compliance statusIdentify and support mitigation of security risks impacting program executionSupport implementation of processes to control access, distribution, and handling of program information and materialsBasic Qualifications U.S. citizenship requiredActive Top Secret clearance requiredBachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience, OR Associate’s degree with additional relevant experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting security programs within Department of Defense or government environmentsFamiliarity with information security, OPSEC, or classified program requirementsExperience managing security documentation, compliance activities, or training coordinationExperience interfacing with government security offices or supporting multi-stakeholder environmentsExperience supporting programs operating across multiple classification levelsScheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week.Compensation: $100,000-$140,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
