Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric to geriatric demographics, incorporating both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft tailored treatment plans to meet both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to create comprehensive care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families aimed at reinforcing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Execute inpatient speech therapy evaluations and treatments as required, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation that aligns with all state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain informed about advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days after starting employment.
