This position requires travel experience of 2 years in Sterile Processing. The role involves floating between different units as needed. The schedule includes a shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays. Weekends are required on an occasional basis. The facility type is a short-term acute care center with a level III trauma designation. Scrub colors are flexible; any color is acceptable. Charting is done through an Epic system. Candidates should have experience with sterilization equipment and proper handling of surgical instruments. A comprehensive understanding of sterile processing techniques, including steam sterilization testing and monitoring, is necessary. The role demands skills in high-level disinfection and the use of automated endoscope reprocessors. Proper documentation of equipment and instruments is essential for maintaining compliance. A strong background in aseptic technique is expected. Travelers must be compliant with all travel requirements. References covering the last year of experience are necessary prior to the start of the position. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to float between facilities may be required.
