Activity Aide

Huntingdon Park Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about creating meaningful, engaging daily experiences for residents. Schedule Part Time (Every other weekend) Mostly day-time hours, may be asked to do an evening activity periodically Responsibilities of Activity Aide Assist in planning, organizing, and leading recreational and social activities for residents Encourage resident participation and engagement in programs and events Support group activities, games, crafts, music, and special events Assist with decorating and preparing for holidays and facility events Escort and support residents as needed during activities Maintain activity supplies and ensure areas are organized Document resident participation when required Promote a positive, friendly, and resident-centered environment Qualifications for Activity Aide High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience in a healthcare, long-term care preferred, or activity's role is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Comfortable engaging with elderly residents in group and one-on-one settings Benefits Competitive hourly pay Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' daily lives Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid Time Off #J-18808-Ljbffr
