Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient evaluations, including physical assessments and thorough medical history reviews
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions via imaging studies interpretation and lab result assessments
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons in formulating and implementing tailored surgical treatment plans
• Provide intraoperative assistance by preparing endoscopic suites, ensuring proper patient positioning, and efficiently handing instruments during operations
• Offer exemplary pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wounds, planning discharges, and educating patients

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus strongly preferred

Certifications

• Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant

Skills Required

• Thorough understanding of surgical techniques and sterile practices
