Shipping and Receiving SpecialistAs a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the packaging and shipment of electrical supplies. This role involves working in both shipping and receiving areas, handling a range of items from small labeled boxes to large electrical spools. You will play a crucial role in processing inventory internally and coordinating shipments to clients.ResponsibilitiesPackage and ship electrical supplies.Handle both small boxes and large electrical spools.Unload trucks and input products into the computer system.Utilize basic scanner and computer skills for inventory tracking.Coordinate shipments with vendors and track inventory using computer systems.Unpack and pack orders, verifying that all items are correct.Essential SkillsAt least 3 years of experience in shipping and receiving.Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and inventory control.Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift.Experience with RF scanners and material handling.Strong skills in picking, packing, loading, and unloading.Attention to detail and ability to perform simple math.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid driver's license.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to articulate well and communicate effectively.Capability to pass onboarding requirements.Why Work Here?Join a dynamic team where your skills and expertise are valued. Although the space is not air-conditioned, it remains comfortable due to insulation. Expect to wear work pants, steel-toed boots, and basic shirts. The role requires flexibility with shifts that may extend to weekends, especially during busy periods, with standard working hours typically from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and occasionally on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rayville, LA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
