Position Overview

A growing national consumer home services company is looking for a seasoned, hands-on VP of Performance Marketing to own customer acquisition across affiliate marketing as well as, publisher, paid media and other performance-driven channels. In this role, you will lead and grow the acquisition team, source and onboard new publisher and affiliate partners, and drive results at every stage of the acquisition funnel.

We're looking for someone who can think strategically and execute directly. You'll bring deep knowledge of performance marketing economics, media and flow optimization, affiliate and publisher management, landing page creation and testing, conversion, and analytics. You'll also need a clear understanding of how every acquisition decision affects lead volume, sales, CAC, revenue and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Performance Marketing & Acquisition

• Set and carry out the company's overall performance marketing and customer acquisition strategy.
  
• Launch, run and optimize affiliate, publisher, paid search, paid social, display and additional performance channels.
  
• Own channel budgets and continually reallocate spend based on CAC, CPA, conversion rate, sales, revenue, ROI and profitability.
  
• Uncover and develop new acquisition channels and growth opportunities.
  
• Create and refine landing pages and the end-to-end consumer flow and experience.
  
• Run ongoing tests across media sources, audiences, creative, offers, landing pages and conversion paths.
  
• Assess new channels, technologies and AI-driven opportunities.
  
• Lead the current publisher acquisition team, setting goals, processes and accountability.
  
• Use your own network to cultivate strategic publisher, affiliate and network partnerships and bring new partners to the company.
  
• Determine commissions, payouts, partner economics and performance standards.
  
• Track partner quality, volume, conversion, CAC, sales and profitability.
  
• Grow top-performing partners and take action on low-quality, fraudulent or unprofitable traffic.
  
• Keep tracking, attribution, postbacks, reporting and partner payment reconciliation accurate.
  

Full Funnel & Conversion Optimization

• Take ownership of performance end to end: media source, lead capture, call connection, closed sale and customer economics.
  
• Design and improve acquisition funnels, landing pages, forms, offers, CTAs and conversion paths.
  
• Drive A/B testing and use data to find and capture conversion gains.
  
• Work with Technology, Analytics, Sales and Operations to fix tracking, funnel and conversion issues.
  
• Put accurate attribution and reporting in place across all acquisition channels and partners.
  
• Monitor and analyze CAC, CPA, CPL, conversion, sales, revenue, ROI and profitability.
  

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing performance marketing team, including the current publisher acquisition team.
  
• Set clear goals, accountability and performance standards.
  
• Collaborate with Sales, Call Center Operations, Finance, Technology, BI/Analytics and executive leadership.
  
• Balance acquisition volume and quality against capacity, staffing and customer economics.
  
• Report performance, opportunities and recommendations to the CMO.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive experience in performance & affiliate marketing and customer acquisition.
  
• Deep expertise in affiliate, publisher and performance-based acquisition programs.
  
• An established network of publishers, affiliates, networks and other acquisition partners.
  
• A track record of conceiving, building, optimizing and scaling multiple media channels and acquisition programs.
  
• Strong experience in full-funnel, landing page and conversion optimization.
  
• Thorough understanding of CAC, CPA, conversion, sales, revenue, ROI and profitability.
  
• Experience owning sizable performance marketing budgets.
  
• Solid working knowledge of affiliate tracking, attribution, postbacks and partner economics.
  
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
  
• Call-based acquisition and lead generation experience strongly preferred.
  
• Excellent negotiation, communication and leadership abilities.
  
• Comfortable applying AI and emerging technologies to improve results.
  
• Background in home services, insurance, financial services, subscription or other performance-driven businesses is a plus.

Compensation depends on experience and performance

Base salary starting up to $250k + performance-based bonus
