Job Description

Position Overview:
The School of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular Medicine . Join our expanding team and provide exceptional medical care primarily in our cardiology clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently provide professional medical support for Cardiovascular Medicine services.
Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care.
Educate patients and set treatment plans, ensuring adherence to prescribed therapies.  Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment accordingly.  Act as a resource for patients, families, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Conduct comprehensive health assessments and demonstrate autonomy in the diagnosis and treatment of health problems.
Order/perform diagnostic procedures as needed.
Develop discharge plans and coordinate with care management.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Physicians Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
