Skilled Machinist OpportunityGreenwood company looking for a skilled machinist! Long term opportunity with a great company that offers growth opportunities. The manual machinist will be operating manual lathes and light vertical milling. Performs a variety of duties to disassemble, inspect, repair, measure and assemble products and subassemblies to bring them up to specification standards. Diagnoses, checks, and corrects mechanical functions through adjustments. Plans, sets up and executes assignments using machine tools ranging from drills, lathes to milling machines.Up to $25/hour based on experience. Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Paid holidays. Vacation and sick time. 401K. Schedule: Mon - Fri 7AM - 3:30 PM (possible overtime as needed.)Requirements: Experience using a variety of precision measuring tools. Working knowledge of both metric and English measurement systems. Ability to operate a variety of manual machines-mills, lathes etc. Understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions. Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and demonstrate good mechanical aptitude. Experience operating forklift trucks, hand pallet jacks and overhead cranes. Must be able to lift and carry 60 lbs. as required.
