About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CCRN Must-Have: - Charge experience in a critical care setting. - Ability to care for ventilated patients. - Knowledge of central venous pressure monitoring. - Experience with continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade. - Proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will provide care for critically ill medical and surgical patients. The nurse may float within the facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. A patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1 is expected. Interdisciplinary support is available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Nurses will have the opportunity to manage patients with complex conditions such as acute kidney injury and cardiovascular issues. Charting will be done using the Epic system. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role. Candidates should be prepared to engage in a variety of critical care scenarios. Flexibility with scheduling is necessary as weekend shifts will be required.
