Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent client in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team! You will be responsible for day-to-day support to plant staff in developing and maintaining quality objectives through continuous improvement and direct customer coordination.

Quality Engineer Summary

• $82,000 +
• Full Time/Direct Hire
• 1st Shift
• Benefits: Paid vacation, paid holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.,
• Coordinate and lead in all APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) activities, including part warrants and related documents
• Coordinate all problem solving and improvement activities relating to customer concerns/issues
• Visit customers as necessary to resolve issues and coordinate continuous improvement
• Lead and train plant personnel in quality functions and disciplines
• Coordinate all products assigned SPC (Statistical Process Control) aspects
• Coordinate process audit analysis with quality department technician and analysts
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager
• Must be flexible and able to travel to visit customer assembly plants, suppliers and other Cooper Standard plants as required

Quality Engineer Qualifications

• Four-year (4) college degree or two (2) year degree and 5 + years' experience with a strong growth pattern in a manufacturing environment.
• Possess a thorough grasp of manufacturing activities.

• Possess strong communications skills and the ability to effectively interface with all levels of hourly and management both inside and outside of the plant.
• Strong technical skills.
• Possess strong problem solving skills as well as statistical process control capability.
• Computer literate in applicable programs.
• Demonstrate knowledge in quality tools.
• Understand / worked in QS-9000 quality system.
