Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Polson, MT | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care including triage, labor support, delivery, recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Manage variable patient ratios (1:1 through 1:6) based on census and acuity
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in weekend coverage, equally split among staff
• Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including working at least one winter holiday pair (Thanksgiving/Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas/Christmas Eve, or New Year's/New Year's Eve)
• Float between sister facilities nearby the contracted location as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of LDRP or OB nursing experience required; seasoned travelers strongly preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Must commit to working at least one winter holiday pair as outlined in the schedule requirements
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Locals are welcome; candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility to be considered under local terms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a critical access or small community hospital setting
• Proficiency with Epic charting platform
• Demonstrated ability to manage full-scope LDRP duties independently in a low-resource environment
