Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift weekend position requiring ARRT certification with CT registry and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Work in the CT Scan department of an acute care hospital with 373 licensed beds, TJC Stroke accreditation, and no trauma designation
• Department offers CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support
• Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient cases
• Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases with anesthesia, and cardiac CT imaging (day shift, 7 days/week)
• Average of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
• Uses 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, and Edge+), Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors, Philips iSite PACS, and Epic/Epic Radiant RIS
• Epic EMR — experience required
• 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), Friday/Saturday/Sunday, 36 hours per week
• On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
• No floating required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• Active license required, if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• Former employees of any AHSE facility who held a permanent position must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Departmental orientation may include weekday shifts regardless of the assigned weekend schedule
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays
• TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
• Guest Services and Transport staff support inpatient and observation patient movement
• Scrub color: black

• A clinical interview with the manager is required
