Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity offers a rewarding role as an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist at a facility with 60 licensed beds, supporting an average daily census of approximately 15-30 patients. The assignment requires providing expert pharmaceutical care within a hospital inpatient setting with a focus on accuracy, patient safety, and timely medication management.
Location: Dalzell, SC
Job Type: Travel assignment
Dates of Coverage: September 26 – October 15, with training the week of September 21
Schedule/Hours:
- Weekdays (Monday–Friday): 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM with on-call duties following each shift
- September 26–27: On-call only
- Weekend coverage: Remote on-call support including answering questions and verifying orders as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive pharmacy services for inpatient care, ensuring safe and effective medication use
- Verify medication orders promptly and accurately, including during on-call hours
- Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmaceutical care plans
- Provide remote support during weekends by responding to inquiries and verifying medications
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state regulations
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Active and clear South Carolina pharmacy license
- Strong clinical knowledge of inpatient medication management
- Ability to handle on-call responsibilities effectively, including remote work flexibility
