This opportunity is for an Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist position providing essential pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting. The role requires managing medication therapy for inpatients, verifying medication orders, and addressing clinical questions during scheduled on-call hours. Coverage includes regular weekday shifts and remote on-call support during weekends, ensuring continuous patient care.

Job Type: Travel assignment
Duration: September 26th – October 15th (Training during the week of September 21st)

Schedule:

• Training: Week of September 21st
• Sept 26-27: On-call coverage
• Sept 28 – Oct 2: 8 AM - 4 PM plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 5-8: 8 AM - 4 PM plus on-call after each shift
• Oct 12-15: 8 AM - 4 PM plus on-call after each shift
• Weekend: Remote on-call support (answering questions, verifying orders as needed)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct pharmaceutical care and medication management for inpatient population
• Verify and validate medication orders in compliance with hospital protocols
• Respond to clinical inquiries during on-call periods, including weekends remotely
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and state pharmacy regulations

Qualifications:

• Active and clear South Carolina pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and inpatient medication therapies
• Ability to manage on-call responsibilities including remote order verification
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
