Pathology Assistant - Pathology

Schedule

5 days a week, 8 hours per day.

Assignment Details

13-week contract.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• ASCP certification or exam ready with certification prior to start date.
• Completion of a NAACLS Accredited Pathologists Assistant Program.
• Prior grossing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and performance of surgical specimen and frozen section dissections.
• Complete accurate gross description dictation.
• Participate in problem solving, quality assurance, and quality control monitoring.
• Perform additional department duties to support high-quality operations.
• Maintain specimen accuracy and ensure proper disposal of tissues and reagents.
• Communicate effectively to provide timely results to pathologists and providers.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed to meet departmental needs.
