Our passion extends throughout Elica, from the exceptional healthcare services we provide to our underserved patients at our Community Health Clinics and state-of-the-art mobile medicine program: Health on Wheels, to our Resource Center where we empower patients and members of the community to connect with resources to help them build healthy and full lives.What You Will Do:The successful candidate will be willing and able to:Greets and prepares patients by accurately obtaining vital signs, medical history, allergies, and medication reconciliation at each visit; documents information in Epic EHR and assists providers during exams and procedures.Prepares, cleans, and stocks exam rooms and workstations to ensure provider readiness and efficient patient flow.Administers injections, immunizations, and ordered diagnostic tests or referrals; ensures accurate documentation in Athena EHR.Oversees daily back-office operations, including Medical Assistant staffing, scheduling, patient flow, visit productivity, EHR documentation, and overall patient experience.Monitors and adjusts Medical Assistant schedules to maintain efficient workflow and ensure compliance with break and meal requirements.Ensures proper documentation and follow-up of clinic equipment inspections and medication inventory monitoring, including laboratory and safety equipment.Maintains clinic and laboratory equipment in compliance with all applicable city, county, state, and federal regulationsManages medical supply inventory, ordering, and stock maintenance.Processes and resolves patient care inquiries and complaints in coordination with clinic leadership.Oversees onboarding and training of new Medical Assistants and supports hiring efforts in collaboration with the Clinic Manager.Creates and manages schedules for providers, patients, and staff to support operational efficiency, as delegated by the Clinic Manager.BenefitsElica Health Centers offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance. Final compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, and qualification.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or EquivalentCertificate of Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program or demonstration of a comparable combination of training and experience.Current BLS/CPR certification required.At least 1 years of supervisory or lead experience (preferred).Knowledge of CHDP/VFC programs.Additional RequirementsMust have a current and valid California driver's license and the ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance on the vehicle driven during working hours.If selected for an employment opportunity with Elica Health Centers, external hires must provide proof of immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella & Tetanus), tuberculosis clearance, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination status* prior to their scheduled start date.
