Varsity Boys Soccer Assistant Coach

Summary Lakewood High School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our athletic department as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Boys Soccer team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soccer and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive environment for our student‑athletes. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the head coach in all aspects of the soccer program. Responsibilities Assist the head coach in planning and conducting daily practices and training sessions. Assist with individual and team instruction to enhance player skills and performance. Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration regarding team policies and expectations. Ensure compliance with all school and athletic department policies, as well as state and national regulations. Help maintain equipment and facilities, ensuring a safe and effective training environment. Requirements Previous coaching experience in soccer, preferably at the high level. Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, strategies, and rules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire student‑athletes. Ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, players, and other staff members. Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student‑athletes.
