Role & ResponsibilitiesSystem Architecture & IntegrationDefine and implement end-to-end system architectures for sensor integration across equipment and subsystemsDesign scalable solutions supporting both new product development and retrofit of existing toolsEnsure seamless integration across hardware, controls, and software interfacesSensor Strategy & DeploymentIdentify and deploy sensors aligned to failure modes, diagnostics, and predictive maintenance use casesCollaborate with internal engineering teams and external suppliers to evaluate and integrate new sensing technologiesDefine requirements for sensor performance, accuracy, and reliabilityData Acquisition & ConnectivityDevelop system requirements for data acquisition, synchronization, and signal conditioningEnable connectivity using industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet-based, fieldbus, and serial interfaces)Design scalable data pipelines from equipment to analytics platformsPredictive Maintenance EnablementTranslate system requirements into data-driven maintenance capabilities, including anomaly detection and failure predictionPartner with software engineering and data science teams to integrate analytics and AI/ML modelsSupport development of automated diagnostics and maintenance recommendationsSystem Validation & ReliabilityDefine and execute system-level validation plans to verify sensor accuracy and performanceSupport reliability engineering by mapping failure modes to measurable signals and diagnosticsEnsure system robustness and performance across operating conditionsLeadership & CollaborationLead projects or functional teams with moderate scope, complexity, and resource requirementsCommunicate complex technical concepts effectively and influence stakeholders to align on solutionsCollaborate cross-functionally to solve complex technical challenges and drive innovationProblem Solving & ImpactApply advanced analytical thinking to identify and resolve complex system-level issuesDrive improvements to products, processes, and services based on business and technical challengesContribute to achieving customer, operational, and project objectives in alignment with organizational goalsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field6–10+ years of relevant experienceProven experience in complex system integration within semiconductor equipment, industrial systems, or similar domainsStrong understanding of sensor technologies (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, electrical signals)Experience with data acquisition systems and industrial communication protocolsKnowledge of system architecture, system integration, and requirements definitionFamiliarity with predictive maintenance, diagnostics, and reliability engineering conceptsAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 20% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
