Kotzebue Store Manager POSITION SUMMARY: The Store Manager covers a broad spectrum of duties, disciplines, and responsibilities that require a combination of management skills and experience. The manager maintains operational, leadership, and financial accountability of the store. In addition, manages day-to-day retail support systems. This position will manage projects and tasks related specifically to the growth of this business unit and reports to the General Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This work shall include, but is not limited to: Execute strategic initiatives, drive sales, and maintain quality and service standards in all locations.Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.Management includes daily prioritization, guidance and performance management of all store employees.Direct and execute the maintenance of inventory levels with appropriate goods consistent with local demand.Manage vendor relationships in a way that brings consistent value to the business,Daily paperwork entries review.Verifone Commander programming and troubleshooting as needed before elevation to the Verifone help desk.Instore training compliance tracking.Customer service escalation.Labor planning and optimization.Supervise store program to monitor and manage daily inspections, logs, inventory reconciliations, and other management reporting requirements at store.Help and assist with preparing and managing budgets for CAPEX, operations, facility and equipment maintenance and retail locations.Responsible for maintenance callouts, management and follow-up.Conflict resolution with customers and vendors. Responsible for overall security of the stores.Management of company programs and policies as assigned.Management/leadership, regulatory, safety and financial accountability for this store.Ensure the proper execution of the 30-60-90 retail operations and marketing plan to include:Merchandise specialsSignage and advertisingUpsell talking pointsNew products roll out and training Hire, train, develop, and mentor Team Members; coach and take corrective action when necessary.Supervise, mentor and train store managers and staff.Support the recruiting, hiring and long-term mentorship of store employees. Be prepared to support single store operations and when staffing issues require.Manage labor budget and fulfill staffing needs for regular hours, as well as plan for peak events. Ensure scheduling system is kept up to date, schedule is prepared and posted timely, and all scheduling updates are appropriately communicated.Provide weekly reports to upper management containing data on store sales and profit.Oversee month-end inventory counts and reconciliations as required.Cultivate a constructive and supportive workplace culture where Team Members can learn, grow, and succeed; promptly and effectively resolve conflicts and competency gaps when necessary. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school or GED diploma and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policy, procedure manuals and/or state and federal regulations; to write routine reports and correspondence; and to speak effectively before groups of employees of company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists; to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; to use Microsoft Excel spreadsheets as directed by the Anchorage office.
