About the Role

The Company is seeking a Corporate Vice President for Model Validation and AI Governance. This leadership role is pivotal in enhancing the enterprise's strategies for model validation and the responsible governance of AI across various AI solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with a range of partners, including those in model risk management, artificial intelligence and data, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and cybersecurity, to ensure that model risk requirements are translated into robust validation approaches and controls. Key responsibilities include leading independent validation of AI solutions, particularly focusing on the evaluation of agentic and multi-step AI systems, and establishing rigorous AI evaluation practices. The role also involves the design of monitoring and observability approaches, as well as the evaluation of vendor and foundation-model solutions. Applicants must have an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline and at least 7 years' of experience in model validation, governance, or risk management within regulated environments. Deep knowledge of traditional statistical and machine learning approaches, as well as experience in validating generative and agentic AI systems, is essential. The role requires practical experience in AI/ML monitoring and observability, proficiency in Python and SQL, and strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in generative AI evaluation, knowledge of AI risks and controls, and familiarity with emerging regulatory expectations. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial services or insurance, with an understanding of AI use cases in these industries.
